30th Anniversary
I recently helped one of my clients, The Children’s Reading Foundation, celebrate their 30th Anniversary.
The goals of the campaign were to:
Celebrate 30 years of literacy advocacy
Increase brand visibility and recognition
Engage stakeholders and partners
Expand reach and deepen impact
We worked with an outside agency to create a logo, and I partnered with designer Abigail Pena Borquez to create a variety of print and downloadable materials to share with the CRF chapters and the READY! for Kindergarten Programs.
All the collateral was shared via the CRF newsletter we send out monthly and across social media channels.
Each chapter was given a donation to purchase books for children and their families, a supply of bookplates, bookmarks, posters, and other book themed activity sheets, available in English and Spanish, to share with the communities they serve. Also, we hosted a 30th Anniversary Book Giveaway featuring 30 books for 30 years of service.
In addition, we created a “30 Things About the Children’s Reading Foundation” social media campaign, where we created 30 posts about the foundation’s work and will be sharing the posts throughout the year. And we created a new batch of quotes about reading to share on social media.
And we created a new landing page on the CRF website to drive parents and caregivers to the website, where they can engage with the anniversary content, like white papers and an interactive Reading Pledge that can be shared on Facebook, learn more about the CRF, and discover the READY! for Kindergarten Kits and Programs.
Keeping children and their caregivers engaged in reading is some of the most rewarding work I get to do, and I am grateful for The Children’s Reading Foundation’s commitment to serving families around the world.
